Spray Foam Guide helps homeowners, builders and building owners make sense of spray foam insulation: which type fits which part of a building, what it costs, what the trade-offs and safety questions are, and how to choose who installs it.
Who publishes it
The site is published by Catalyst Digital Services LLC, a digital publishing and marketing company. We are not an insulation contractor and we do not perform, inspect, design or warrant any work.
Who writes and reviews the guides
Guides are researched and written by our editorial team from named public sources — government agencies such as the U.S. Department of Energy and EPA, building codes, manufacturer data sheets and dated cost guides — and every source is listed on the page that uses it. We are working to add independent technical review by a qualified building-science professional. When a guide has been reviewed, the reviewer's name, qualifications and review date will appear on it. Until then, treat the guides as well-sourced background, not professional advice for your building.
Where we cover
We cover homes, shops and other buildings across the United States. Codes, climate and licensing differ by state, so our guides explain the general picture and point you to where local requirements are set. Our contractor directory lists businesses whose own websites describe spray foam work, with state licenses matched where states publish license data. How our listings work.
How the site is funded
We may earn referral fees or sponsorship from contractors we list. Any paid relationship will be labeled on the listing, and it does not change what our guides say. Our editorial policy and how our listings work page explain the rules we hold ourselves to.
